Our Practice in Boise

Dr. Dixon grew up in Boise, Idaho and couldn’t be happier serving the community where he was raised. After graduating Magna Cum Laude from Brigham Young University-Idaho, Dr. Dixon received his Doctorate of Optometry from the Southern College of Optometry in Memphis, Tennessee. He also graduated Magna Cum Laude from SCO and was honored to receive his graduating class’s Outstanding Clinician Award. Dr. Dixon is a member of Idaho Optometric Physicians, the American Optometric Association, the Scleral Lens Society, and the American Academy of Orthokeratology & Myopia Control.

Dr. Dixon enjoys providing full-scope eye care to all ages, from kids to adults to seniors. He has training in managing ocular diseases, including keratoconus, glaucoma, macular degeneration, diabetic retinopathy, dry eye disease, and others. He has a passion for myopia control and difficult-to-fit contact lenses, and he is proud to be an expert in specialty contact lens fitting, including scleral contact lenses, orthokeratology, rigid gas permeable, and more. Dr. Dixon especially loves helping those who previously thought they were “not a candidate for contact lenses” discover that with the right contact lens design, just about anyone can gain freedom from glasses. Few things bring him as much satisfaction as seeing a custom-designed lens change a patient’s life.

When not bringing new clarity to his patients, Dr. Dixon loves enjoying the outdoors with his beautiful wife, 3 crazy kids, and naughty golden retriever. He especially enjoys building and using bikes to explore Idaho’s thousands of miles of trails and dirt roads. He and his family also love camping, backpacking, climbing, skiing, and exploring Idaho’s many hidden corners.

Kelley loves being the first smiling face you see when you enter Tree City Eyecare. She manages our front desk and wrangles the phones. In addition to ensuring things are running smoothly for your exam, Kelley is proud to be a board-certified optician by the American Board of Opticians. She is able to help with anything you might need regarding your glasses.

Her favorite thing about working in eye care is making an older pair of glasses look brand new. Kelley enjoys reading and spending time with her husband and son when she is not at the office.

Kristi is one of our excellent board certified opticians. She comes to Tree City Eyecare with over 20 years experience in the optometric field. Her favorite part of working in eyecare is making people look and feel good with their new eyewear.

Kristi is from Alaska where she lived for 35 years before moving to Idaho in 2023. She loves sunshine, paddleboarding and her son.

Chelsea is one of our excellent opticians. She helps patients find the right frame and lens solutions to meet their vision and lifestyle needs. She also ensures your insurance is billed appropriately and is ready to jump in and help with anything else needed around the office. Her favorite part of eye care is watching children put on glasses for the first time and finally see things clearly. She says, “it just warms my heart and makes me so thankful to be a part of this world.”

Chelsea is a self-proclaimed “nerdy girl” who loves Lord of the Rings and murder mysteries. Chelsea can be found reading on the couch with her cats and husband whenever she is not at work.

Natalie is an optometric technician, performing many of the initial tests during your exam and any additional testing we need to provide you with exceptional eye care. We often take advantage of Natalie’s experience in eyecare and other medical fields to pick her brain about insurance and other areas. A wearer of many hats, Natalie also jumps in and helps out at the front desk or in optical when needed. Natalie loves being able to help patients pick out new frames for the year.

Outside of work, Natalie enjoys spending time with her little family. They love going on walks, learning new things, and watching new movies.

Sam is one of our talented optometric technicians and recently became an officially certified paraoptometric, passing her CPO exam with flying colors. She performs many of the initial tests during your exam. Sam is often the one to help patients learn how to apply and remove contact lenses for the first time safely. Sam says, “my favorite part of eye care is helping people see with contacts for the first time. I remember my first pair of contacts—it really helped my self-esteem!”

Sam grew up in Montana and has lived in Idaho since she was 6 years old. Her favorite part of living in the Gem State is our beautiful outdoors. When she is not helping patients see their best, she enjoys comedy shows and working on her art.
