Our Practice in Boise

Dr. Dixon is a native of Boise, Idaho and couldn’t be happier serving the community where he was raised.  After graduating Magna Cum Laude from Brigham Young University-Idaho, Dr. Dixon received his Doctorate of Optometry from the Southern College of Optometry in Memphis, Tennessee.  He also graduated Magna Cum Laude from SCO and was honored to receive his graduating class’s Outstanding Clinician Award.  Dr. Dixon is a member of Idaho Optometric Physicians, American Optometric Association, Scleral Lens Society, and the American Academy of Orthokeratology & Myopia Control.

Dr. Dixon enjoys providing full-scope eye care to all ages, from 0 year olds to 100 year olds.  He has training in the management of ocular diseases including keratoconus, glaucoma, macular degeneration, diabetic retinopathy, dry eye disease and others.  He has a passion for myopia control and difficult-to-fit contact lenses, and he is proud to be an expert in specialty contact lens fitting, including scleral contact lenses, orthokeratology, rigid gas permeable and more.  Dr. Dixon especially loves helping those who previously thought they were “not a candidate for contact lenses” discover that with the right contact lens design, just about anyone can gain freedom from glasses.  Few things bring him as much satisfaction as seeing a custom designed lens change a patient’s life.

When not bringing new clarity to his patients, Dr. Dixon loves enjoying the outdoors with his beautiful wife, three crazy kids, and naughty golden retriever.  He especially enjoys building bikes and using them to explore Idaho’s thousands of miles of trails and dirt roads.  He and his family also love to camp, backpack, rock climb, ski, and explore Idaho’s many hidden corners.

Dr. Jeremy Ball joined Tree City Eyecare in 2024 after several years practicing in Eastern Idaho. He provides comprehensive eye care for patients of all ages and is fluent in Spanish!

Dr. Ball graduated from Western University of Health Science College of Optometry.

During his clinical rotations, he spent time managing and treating ocular disease at multiple clinics, including Indian Health Services in Southern California. His professional interests include treatment and management of Glaucoma, Diabetic Retinopathy, Macular Degeneration, and Dry Eye. He is experienced in management of acute red eye conditions (such as bacterial conjunctivitis, allergic conjunctivitis, and anterior uveitis) and in removal of foreign bodies of the eye. He is trained in fitting different types of contact lenses, including scleral lenses which can help people see clearer with irregular corneal conditions, such as keratoconus. One of his favorite lenses to fit is a multifocal soft lens which can allow someone to see far away and up close without the use of reading or far away glasses. Dr. Ball enjoys spending time with his family, being outdoors, camping, hiking and sports and serving in church callings. Dr. Ball is also fluent in Spanish.

El Dr. Jeremy Ball se graduó de Western University of Health Science en Sureste California.

Durante sus rotaciones clínicas, pasó tiempo manejando y tratando enfermedades oculares en múltiples clínicas, incluyendo Indian Health Services. Sus intereses profesionales incluyen el tratamiento y manejo del glaucoma, retinopatía diabética, degeneración macular y ojo seco. Tiene experiencia en el manejo de infecciónes oculares y de ojos rojos (como conjuntivitis bacteriana, conjuntivitis alérgica y uveítis anterior) y en la eliminación de cuerpos extraños del ojo, como metal, piedras, etc. Está capacitado en la adaptación de diferentes tipos de lentes de contacto, incluidos los lentes esclerales que pueden ayudar a las personas a ver
más claramente con afecciones corneales irregulares, como el Keratoconus. Sus lentes de contactos favoritos para prescribir es una “multifocal” que puede permitirle a alguien ver de lejos y de cerca sin el uso de anteojos de lectura o lejanos. Al Dr. Ball le gusta pasar tiempo con su familia, estar al aire libre, acampar, hacer caminatas y practicar deportes y servir en los llamamientos de la iglesia. Kelley, our team leader, works hard to keep all aspects of the office running like a well-oiled machine. She is proud to be a board-certified optician by the American Board of Opticianry and will help with anything you might need regarding your glasses. Her passion for eye care shines through as she breathes new life into old glasses and helps our patients see clearly. Outside of work, Kelley is a proud foster parent, an avid reader, and cherishes quality time with her family.

Kristi is one of our excellent board certified opticians. She comes to Tree City Eyecare with over 20 years experience in the optometric field. Her favorite part of working in eyecare is making people look and feel good with their new eyewear.

Kristi is from Alaska where she lived for 35 years before moving to Idaho in 2023. She loves sunshine, paddleboarding and her son.

Chelsea is one of our excellent opticians, so she helps patients find the best frame and lens solutions to meet their vision and lifestyle needs. She also ensures your insurance is billed appropriately and is ready to jump in and help with anything else that is needed around the office. Her favorite part of eyecare is watching little kids put on glasses for the first time, finally being able to see things clearly. She says, “It just warms my heart and makes me so thankful to be a part of this world.”  Chelsea is a self-proclaimed “nerdy girl” who loves Lord of the Rings and murder mysteries. Whenever she is not at work, Chelsea can be found reading on the couch with her cats and husband.

Sam is one of our talented optometric technicians, and recently became an official Certified Para-Optometric, passing her CPO exam with flying colors.  She performs many of the initial tests during your exam.  Sam is often the one to help patients learn how to safely apply and remove contact lenses for the first time.  Sam says, “My favorite part of eyecare is helping people see with contacts for the first time. I remember my first pair of contacts; it really helped my self-esteem!”

Sam is a native of Montana and has lived in Idaho since she was 6 years old. Her favorite part of living in the Gem State is our beautiful outdoors.  When she is not helping patients see their best, she enjoys comedy shows and working on her art.

Kim is the smiling face you see when you enter Tree City Eyecare. Kim is constantly busy ensuring your experience at Tree City Eyecare is smooth, whether that’s verifying insurance prior to your exam, wrangling the phones, getting you checked in and out, and greeting everyone with a smile. She comes to Tree City with over 12 years of experience in the eyecare field and enjoys getting your glasses fit dialed in or making emergency eyewear repairs. She absolutely loves watching a patient react positively to a new pair of glasses.

Kim is proud to be a native Idahoan. Outside the office, Kim enjoys spending time with her daughter and taking their little dog, Rosie, on walks.

Isabella is our newest face at the front desk. She loves connecting with our patients on the phone and assists in verifying insurance benefits before your appointment. As a contact lens wearer, Isabella is excited to be a part of the process in helping our patients achieve clearer vision.

Outside of work Isabella is a dedicated Boise State student majoring in Political Science and Psychology. She also enjoys hiking with her dog, Marley, and indulging in a bit of shopping.
